Troubleshooting

What are recommended system settings for listening to the presentations?

1. Web browser: Internet Explorer 6.0, Mozilla Firefox 1.05 or higher

2. Windows Media Player: Version 9 or higher (we recommend Windows Media Player 10)

3. Internet connection: 56k Dialup users can connect, however users with Cable modems, T1, or DSL will experience faster download and connection times, with less "buffering" or pre-loading of content.

4. A working sound card and speakers

I don't have Windows Media Player, how do I get one and how do I install it?

To download Windows Media Player for FREE, click here and follow these steps:

1. In the File Download dialog box, select Save this program to disk, and then click OK. In the Save As window, save the file to your desktop. Do not change the name of the file.

2. Click the Save button not Open.

3. Depending on the speed of your Internet connection, the download time may vary. Take note of the file name as you will need to reference the file once download is complete.

4. Once the download is complete, you are ready to install the player. Close all applications before proceeding with the player installation.

5. Locate the file on your desktop and double-click it to activate the installation.

6. If a security warning appears, click Yes to continue installation.

7. The program will display an End User License Agreement. Click Yes if you agree to comply.

8. Click OK and follow the instructions.

I'm on corporate network and can't get it to work?

If you are on the corporate network, you might want to consult your network administrator if: (a) you are not able to download and install software on your computer, or (b) if you are having problems listening to the broadcast (constant buffering, or can't listen at all as your corporate network administrator might not be allowing streaming video audio)

If behind the firewall please do the following: Open Windows Media Player. On the menu bar, select Tools and pull down to Options . In Options, select the Network tab. Under Protocols, if HTTP is not checked, try checking it (it should be the last Protocol you try enabling). Then hit OK to close this window, and OK again to close the Options window. If this still does not help your situation, we suggest you ask your company's IS department to open ports 1755 and 554 for TCP and UDP outgoing connections.

What do I need to listen the presentations if I use Mac OS?

If you have Mac OS 8.1 thru 9.x make sure you have Windows Media Player 7.1. If you don't have it, click here to download and install media player for free. If you have Mac OS X, make sure you have Windows Media Player 9. If you don't have it, click here to download and install media player for free.
